Luca Casini Designer

After his art studies, Luca Casini took a degree in architecture, in 1996, at the Politecnico di Milano, where he taught in the Faculty of Industrial Design from 2000 to 2002. In 1997, he opened his design studio “LUCA CASINI DESIGN STUDIO” in Milan and from 1998 to 2004, in parallel to his own business, he worked on projects with Jacob Pringiers through the firm of CASINI & PRINGIERS ASSOCIATES. Subsequently, he worked as an industrial designer and product designer in widely differing sectors, with a number of well-known companies in Italy and major industrial groups abroad, mainly in Germany and the United States. He has designed fashion accessories and products for furnishing, ranging from eyewear to jewellery, from cutlery to handles and furniture, including limited edition artistic pieces. CASINI STUDIO®, (a registered trademark of Luca Casini), on the other hand, has developed consumer products and technological products in collaboration with the research & development and marketing departments of clients in various sectors.

Luca Casini has enjoyed wide international recognition and some of his works have appeared in exhibitions and museums in Italy and abroad. His work has been featured in major trade journals. He has received awards including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award (6), the DesignPlus, the Baden Württemberg Design Award, the Home & Trend Award and the Trend Product of the Year, as well as other awards in the field of design.

Luca Casini’s work is characterized by a linear expressive language that’s also eclectic, reflecting the richness and complexity of our times. Constant cultivation of graphic elegance and harmony of forms is the lowest common denominator of his designs.

Luca Casini has collaborated with leading companies in the design field including: Olivari, Fiam Italia, Pedrali, WMF, Asa Selection, Daa Italia, Folle, Arcade, Dupont™ De Nemours, Riva, Jannelli & Volpi, Luxottica Group, Confalonieri.

Luca Casini’s works have been cited and published in the main design magazines including: Interni Magazine, Domus, Abitare, Elle Decor, AD, Casamica, Ville & Casali, Icon, Wallpaper, Interior Design Magazine, L’Officiel Design, Raum und Wohnen
